Managing collections and subcollections

Docs

With KLEKSI, you can easily create an unlimited number of collections and subcollections to organize your objects in a clear and structured manner. Objects can be linked to one or more collections simultaneously, allowing you to work flexibly with different classifications and collection structures.

Collection Overview
On the Collections page, you see an overview of all created collections.

Various promotions are available for every collection:

  • View objects – Show all objects linked to the collection.
  • Edit – Change the name of the collection or adjust the hierarchy.
  • Delete – Delete the collection from the system.

When a collection contains subcollections, you can easily consult them via the overview.

Create a collection
KLEKSI supports an unlimited number of collections and subcollections. There is no limit to the number of hierarchical levels you can use.

Add new collection
Go to Collections in the menu on the left.

  1. Click on the + button.
  2. Enter a name for the new collection.
  3. Indicate whether it concerns a main collection or a subcollection of an existing collection.
  4. Click Save.

After saving, the collection is created. From the detail page, you can then directly add additional subcollections.

Create a subcollection
There are two ways to add a subcollection.

Method 1 : Via the collection overview

  1. Go to Collections.
  2. Click on the + button.
  3. Enter the name of the subcollection.
  4. Select the parent collection of which this should become a part.
  5. Click Save.

The subcollection is added directly to the collection structure.

Method 2 : Via an existing collection

  1. Click Edit next to the collection for which you want to create a subcollection.
  2. Scroll to the Subcollections section.
  3. Click on the + button.
  4. Enter the name of the new subcollection.
  5. Click Save.

The subcollection is directly linked to the selected collection.

View subcollections
By default, only main collections are displayed in the overview. Activate the Show subcollections option to make all underlying collections visible as well. For each subcollection, it is indicated under which main collection it falls.

Change a collection
Do you want to change the name or position of a collection?

  1. Click on the Edit button next to the relevant collection.
  2. Adjust the desired data.
  3. Click Save.

The changes are processed immediately.

Delete a collection
To delete a collection:

  1. Click on the Trash button next to the relevant collection.
  2. Confirm the deletion action.

Important
Deleting a collection does not delete the objects linked to that collection. The objects remain in the system, but after deletion, they are no longer linked to the relevant collection. If desired, you can then link these objects to another collection.
