Intelligent storage

KLEKSI distinguishes between original and generated files

With KLEKSI's intelligent storage, your original files are stored safely and affordably. Our system also automatically generates optimized files, so that data traffic during use and on your website is kept to a minimum. KLEKSI grows with your needs and you only pay for what you actually use.

Original files Generated files Data traffic
Up to the first terabyte € 0,06 per GB p/m € 0,12 per GB p/m € 0,12 per GB p/m
Up to the second terabyte € 0,06 per GB p/m € 0,11 per GB p/m € 0,12 per GB p/m

Two types of storage, one smart approach.

Smart. Efficient. Indispensable.
For museums and heritage institutions, it’s all about managing valuable data efficiently. That’s why we designed Intelligent Storage, an innovative way to keep your collections safe, accessible and affordable.

Original files.

Your source files are securely stored in our Digital Asset Management (DAM) system. By storing them cost-efficiently, we keep the storage price exceptionally low: only €0.06 per GB, without compromising on security.

Optimized versions.
We generate smaller, optimized versions of your original files. Suitable for use on websites and in internal systems. At €0.12 per GB, these versions offer optimal performance and minimal load on your data traffic.

Why Intelligent Storage?

  • Cost-effective. Save significantly on storage and data usage costs by intelligently distinguishing between original and optimized files.
  • Ultimate security. Your files are always protected with a high degree of redundancy.
  • Efficient data traffic. Faster loading times and better performance thanks to optimized versions.

Your data, your property. Fully protected.

Your data always remains yours.

That’s why we have a strict data policy that ensures your privacy and the security of your data. All your data is stored in our encrypted databases, protected by innovative privacy technologies. Every product and feature meets our strict privacy standards, from the first design step to daily operation.

Fair and transparent data management.
Our Fair Use Policy ensures that you can use storage and data traffic flexibly, without unexpected costs. Even during peaks, your costs remain low, and if more storage or data traffic is structurally needed, we will discuss the best solution together.

Data storage within Europe.

Your data always remains within the EU.

Stored on secure servers in Frankfurt that are fully compliant with European legislation and the GDPR. Thanks to strict security measures from AWS, you are assured of the highest protection for your data.

Carefree Data Traffic

With our KLEKSI licenses you get 10% extra traffic as standard, based on the storage space of your original files. For most organizations this is more than enough, so you don't have to worry about unexpected costs.

Based on our experience, most customers stay well within 10% traffic, which is usually sufficient for normal use. Traffic can vary due to factors such as the number of website visitors, for example due to social media activities. Our fair use policy ensures that incidental peaks in traffic will not affect your costs. We will only contact you in the event of a structural increase, so that you are always informed in advance of any changes in billing.

Your data always safe with 99.999999999% redundancy

Your data always safe with 99.999999999% redundancy

It is important that your data is always available and protected. That is why we work with an extremely high degree of redundancy, which guarantees a reliability of 99.999999999% (eleven nines). This means that the chance of data loss is only 1 in a billion.

How does redundancy work?
Redundancy ensures that your data always remains safe, even if a failure occurs. We do this by duplicating essential components, so that there is always a reserve ready. If something fails? An identical copy takes over immediately, without you noticing.

Thanks to this technology, you can trust that your data is continuously available and protected against failure or technical problems. This way, you can be sure that you will never be faced with surprises.

Who relies on 99.999999999% redundancy?

Financial institutions and banks such as: JPMorgan Chase, ING, PayPal
Financial institutions and banks such as: JPMorgan Chase, ING, PayPal

Financial transactions must always be available and correct. Banks cannot afford to lose data, as this can lead to fraud or loss of customer money.

Healthcare sector and medical databases such as: Mayo Clinic, UMC's, Philips HealthSuite, Epic Systems
Healthcare sector and medical databases such as: Mayo Clinic, UMC's, Philips HealthSuite, Epic Systems

Patient records, medical images (MRI, CT scans) and research data must be 100% reliable and accessible. Legislation such as HIPAA (US) and GDPR (EU) also requires that medical data is stored securely and redundantly.

Government agencies and defense such as: CIA, NSA, European Union, Defense Netherlands
Government agencies and defense such as: CIA, NSA, European Union, Defense Netherlands

Secret or critical government information should never be lost. Think of military operations, population registers, or satellite data.

Space travel and scientific research such as: NASA, ESA, CERN, SpaceX
Space travel and scientific research such as: NASA, ESA, CERN, SpaceX

Space and physics experiments generate enormous amounts of data. If measurement data from a Mars mission is lost, it is irreversible.

Big Tech and streaming services such as: Google (YouTube), Netflix, Facebook (Meta), TikTok
Big Tech and streaming services such as: Google (YouTube), Netflix, Facebook (Meta), TikTok

These platforms host billions of videos, posts and user data. Redundancy prevents data loss in the event of an outage.

Telecommunications and internet providers such as: AT&T, KPN, Deutsche Telekom
Telecommunications and internet providers such as: AT&T, KPN, Deutsche Telekom

Calling, internet and cloud services must run 24/7, without data loss or downtime.

Crypto and blockchain companies such as: Bitcoin network, Binance, Ethereum nodes
Crypto and blockchain companies such as: Bitcoin network, Binance, Ethereum nodes

Blockchain transactions are immutable and must always remain available.

Aviation and transport such as: Schiphol, Boeing, Autonomous driving vehicles
Aviation and transport such as: Schiphol, Boeing, Autonomous driving vehicles

Airlines and autonomous vehicles rely on real-time data. Data loss can lead to disasters.

Museums and heritage organizations such as: Eindhoven Museum, the Zuylenburg Collection, the Oertijdmuseum and many more...
Museums and heritage organizations such as: Eindhoven Museum, the Zuylenburg Collection, the Oertijdmuseum and many more...

Museums, heritage organizations, local history societies, as well as professional collectors, rely on KLEKSI for direct and secure access to their valuable data, with the assurance that it is preserved to the highest standards.
