An important aspect of making and keeping digital collections accessible is preventing link rot, or the fact that a clicked link no longer works. This is remedied with a sustainable persistent identifier (PID). This ensures that digital objects always remain available online at the same location. KLEKSI generates its own PIDs and in addition, PIDs are supported by the Handle System.
