KLEKSI welcomes its first Belgian partners: the Teseum and the Church Council in Tongeren

We proudly and gratefully announce that KLEKSI is crossing national borders for the first time. And how! The Teseum in Tongeren, together with the Kerkfabriek (Church Council), is the first Belgian partner to choose KLEKSI as their collection registration system. This marks a significant step in our mission to manage heritage sustainably, accessibly, and for the future, now also in Belgium.

Ancient heritage, modernly registered
The Teseum is much more than a museum. Located in Tongeren, Belgium's oldest city, the Teseum houses an exceptionally rich collection of religious heritage, including liturgical silver, textiles, reliquaries, sculptures, and paintings. These masterpieces are not only of great historical value but also reflect religious and cultural life over more than twenty centuries.

The archaeological site beneath the Basilica of Our Lady is also part of the museum. Visitors literally descend into history, past Roman foundations, Merovingian graves, and medieval remains. And towering over the city is the imposing belfry, a UNESCO World Heritage site, with its monumental carillon of 49 bells.

The fact that this particular place, steeped in spirituality, history and heritage, has chosen KLEKSI as its partner in digital collection management fills us with pride.

A milestone for KLEKSI
For KLEKSI, this collaboration not only represents an expansion into Belgium but also a confirmation of our ambition: to offer a flexible, accessible, and powerful system for heritage institutions of all sizes, in any country, and in any language. The Teseum and the Kerkfabriek's selection demonstrates that our approach, which prioritizes user-friendliness, sustainability, and innovation, is also valued internationally.

Building future-proof heritage management together
Over the coming period, the Teseum's rich collection will be gradually incorporated into KLEKSI. We look forward to an inspiring collaboration with the Teseum team and the Church Council, and are honored to be their digital partner in managing, preserving, and making this unique heritage accessible.

Welcome, Teseum. Welcome, Belgium!
