KLEKSI at Museum Trade Days, Limburg Digital Heritage Day and Digital Heritage Network Suppliers Day

In the rapidly evolving world of digitalization and technological advancement, the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage has become a crucial challenge. Digital Heritage Month was a special time for KLEKSI, where we had the opportunity to participate in some interesting events in the heritage sector.

Museum Trade days: Demonstration and meetings
In the world of heritage, Digital Heritage Month is a special period when the spotlight is on the digital aspects of cultural heritage. This year KLEKSI again participated in the Museum Trade days fair. We proudly presented our innovative approach to the preservation and accessibility of heritage. We also had the opportunity to talk to colleagues about the role of digital technology in the preservation of heritage. We had transformed our stand into a true depot, filled with intriguing objects from various customers such as paintings from the Eindhoven Museum among other artifacts that reflected the rich history of the Eindhoven region. A special eye-catcher was the tail vertebra of an apatosaurus, an impressive remains of 125 million years old, kindly lent to us by the Prehistoric Museum in Boxtel.

The interactive display attracted the attention of visitors, from heritage enthusiasts to museum professionals. We sought to bridge the traditional and the digital, showcasing not only the tangible beauty of heritage, but also the power of digitalization to preserve these treasures for future generations. With a demo developed based on artificial intelligence, we showed visitors in just a few minutes how flexible and user-friendly KLEKSI is.

Limburg Digital Heritage Day: Collaboration in practice
A highlight of the month was undoubtedly the Limburg Digital Heritage Day. During this event we discovered the power of collaboration between different parties within the heritage sector in Limburg. It was heart-warming to see how museums, local history circles and other heritage organizations have joined forces to jointly preserve and unlock Limburg's digital heritage. This shared commitment to preservation and accessibility promises much for the future of our cultural heritage.

Digital Heritage Network Supplier Day: Sharing knowledge and giving workshops
A highlight for KLEKSI was participation in the supplier day of the Digital Heritage Network in the Ketelhuis on Strijp-S in Eindhoven. Here we not only gained valuable insights, but also gave three workshops in collaboration with the Eindhoven Museum. The workshops were aimed at museums, local history circles and other heritage organizations, and provided practical tools for the effective use of digital tools for the preservation and presentation of heritage. KLEKSI has mainly focused on showing the NDE compatibility to the visitors.

Future perspective
As Digital Heritage Month comes to an end, we look to the future with enthusiasm. The experiences at the Museum Vakdagen, the Day of Limburg Digital Heritage and the Network Digital Heritage Suppliers Day have inspired and motivated us to continue working on innovative solutions for the preservation and promotion of our rich heritage. KLEKSI is determined to continue to play an active role in the digitization of heritage. Together with partners and stakeholders, we will continue to strive for a future in which our heritage is accessible to everyone, regardless of time or place.
